Three weeks ago, a major snowstorm. Today – a bright, sunny day and warm February day. Today’s engagement session brought us north to Whidbey Island where we photographed Aja & Kevin’s Engagement session at Deception Pass State Park. For those who aren’t familiar with this northwest gem, Deception Pass State Park boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the Pacific Northwest, from pristine horseshoe beaches to a bridge that spans over 900 feet (several hundred feet above the water). The bridge for which we used for some of the shots connects the Washington mainland with Whidbey Island and sits several hundred feet above the water below.
Aja and Kevin were able to get away today for their engagement session, and for them Deception Pass holds a special place in their heart (which is the reason they wanted to photograph their engagement session here). In fact, they even have a special tree (which they both climbed – even with Aja’s heels) and a special beach. The two of them met at work, where Kevin was Aja’s manager. They’ve known each other for the past several years and just recently decided to marry.
Thanks Aja and Kevin for having us as part of your big day. We’re looking forward to August !!!
